MY Sunday Funday

We headed to Farmville today for the Dogwood Festival and to hear Jupiter Jones perform! Grey came along for the ride, and might I mention that when she does that it's between two car seats, so she is a SUPER aunt. The kids danced all around to the great music and probably fell asleep before their head hit the pillow tonight. Jonathan grabbed us some festival food too of course...funnel cake, nachos & cheese, and some sausage/onion/rice deal that Elliott ended up diving into with her hands because I wasn't serving it up fast enough.

New Baby Stutzman!

Galen and Bonnie came our way to visit Ed and brought some folks with them this time. They brought their son Ben, daughter-in-law Myka, and grand daughter Estia. Estia was born December 2nd and we were so excited to get to meet her and see Ben and Myka again. It is so sweet that they came to visit Jonathan's dad in Maury and a true testament to the kind of people they are.

Surprise Visit

It's always fun when the grandparents pay us a surprise visit. Weston and Elliott think that every truck that passes might just be them and when the truck pulls in the driveway it's a total freak out moment. They do LOVE their Poppy and Jiji.

Mom and Dad had been to a cupcake shop near Cameron Village called Gigi's Cupcakes. They were so beautiful and delicious. Here are a few pics of the pig out session.

Sometimes our parents make us put on our winter hats just to laugh at us.

Cuts Like Butta

One of our friends hooked us up with some amazing cuts of meat. Four 12oz filets that melt in your mouth. I'm not one of those people that is all about meat and potatoes but even I could very much appreciate the quality of these. We got to share them with some of our new friends, Bethany and Brian. They are pretty amazing as well. :)

Jonathan followed some of Ina Garten's advice making 3 of her recipes. He made her onion rings, sauteed mushrooms, and filet restaurant style. She is no joke.

The Ellie Badge

One of the best movies I have seen in a while would be Disney Pixar's Up. I have probably watched it and listened to it playing in the background thirty or more times because it's Weston's favorite movie right now. Ok, more than thirty. He went from saying, "Buzz?" five times a day to saying, "Up?". Now Elliott says it to be like her brother. :) Every time it's playing I catch something I didn't notice before. I have never been one to enjoy or run out and see an animated or children's movie but I am such a fan of this one!

I had heard the beginning of the movie was a tear jerker and it was. Wow! The end got me too of course. If you haven't seen this movie please do. It's a great one for the whole family. Weston will surely move onto a new favorite movie before long, but I will make sure we all see this one every so often as the kids are growing up. Great, great story. If it doesn't pull your heart strings you should check for a pulse.

It doesn't hurt that there's an 'Ellie' in the movie either.

Sun Fun

Weston and Elliott went hard yesterday. Sidewalk chalk was (or IS) everywhere. That warm, sunny day didn't go wasted over here! Thank you Lord, for beautiful days that make Weston's cheeks all rosy.
