Toddler Trims the Tree

We went to Henry's to pick out our tree today. Jonathan put on the lights and then we decided to let Weston have full rein. He was so excited and worked very hard at hanging those ornaments. I had been looking forward to starting this tradition with him but never expected it to be so darn cute! Jonathan and I were having to hold in the laughs. He would be working so hard and then it would fall... uh oh! He cried when we put him to bed and kept saying tree. I promised him in the morning I would let him finish working on the tree and he must have understood because he stopped crying and was smiling at me.

All you need is LOVE

I love to break down songs and read the lyrics. Have you ever noticed almost every song is written about love? This time of year love and and how much I need it is on the mind more than usual. Makes me sentimental and I think about orphanages all around the world and how I want someone loving on those children. This picture is full of love! It's three people that I love and three people that love each other. It's so amazing that we don't know what love is when we are born but we are born to love. God made us that way and it's natural. It's our purpose on earth!

You gave me wings and made me fly
You touched my hand I could touch the sky
I lost my faith, you gave it back to me
You said no star was out of reach
You stood by me and I stood tall
I had your love I had it all
I'm grateful for each day you gave me
Maybe I don't know that much
But I know this much is true
I was blessed because I was loved by you
~~~
Unforgettable, that's what you are
Unforgettable though near or far
Like a song of love that clings to me
How the thought of you does things to me
Never before has someone been more
Unforgettable in every way
And forever more, that's how you'll stay
That's why, darling, it's incredible
That someone so unforgettable
Thinks that I am unforgettable too
~~~
I know a girl
She puts the color inside of my world
But she's just like a maze
Where all of the walls all continually change

And I've done all I can
To stand on the steps with my heart in my hand
Now I'm starting to see
Maybe it's got nothing to do with me

Fathers be good to your daughters
Daughters will love like you do
Girls become lovers who turn into mothers
So mothers be good to your daughters too
~~~
Our love was, comfortable and
so broken in
she's perfect, so flawless
or so they say, say
She thinks I can't see the smile that she's fakin'
and poses for pictures that aren't being taken
I loved you
grey sweat pants, no makeup, so perfect
~~~
Love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love. There's nothing you can do that can't be done. Nothing you can sing that can't be sung. Nothing you can say but you can learn how to play the game It's easy. There's nothing you can make that can't be made. No one you can save that can't be saved. Nothing you can do but you can learn how to be you in time - It's easy.
~~~
You must have known that I was lonely,
Because you came to my rescue,
And I know that this must be heaven,
How could so much love be inside of you?
You are the sunshine of my life, yeah,
That's why I'll always stay around,
You are the apple of my eye,
Forever you'll stay in my heart
~~~
In a little while
I won't be blown by every breeze
Friday night running to Sunday on my knees
That girl, that girl she's mine
Well I've know her since,
Since she was

A little girl with Spanish eyes
When I saw her first in a pram they pushed her by
Oh my, my how you've grown
Well it's been, it's been...a little while
Slow down my beating heart
A man dreams one day to fly
A man takes a rocket ship into the skies
He lives on a star that's dying in the night
And follows in the trail, the scatter of light
Turn it on, turn it on, you turn me on

~~~
At last my love has come along
My lonely days are over
And life is like a song
Ohh yeah yeah
At last
the skies above are blue
My heart was wrapped up in clover
The night I looked at you
I found a dream, that I could speak to
A dream that I can call my own
I found a thrill to press my cheek to
A thrill that I have never known
Ohh yeah yeah…
You smile, you smile
oh And then the spell was cast
And here we are in heaven
for you are mine....
At Last
Birthday Girl
We had Elliott's first birthday party this afternoon. It was a lot of fun and we are so thankful for our friends and family that came out to help celebrate. She has been such a blessing to her mommy, daddy, and big brother!
Sure got some awesome gifts today, her and Weston will be occupied for a long time to come. Weston got to play with some of his buddies out in the backyard and let's just say there will be some GOOD sleep going on in this house tonight.
We had cake, ice cream sundae's, and some other goodies. Jonathan and I still can't get over the amount of butter that was in all the food. Ahhhh! This is just another birthday party requirement of course.
Happy Birthday to my precious baby girl! Slow down time, slow down.
